Texas Communities Got Some TLC from Us this Spring

With branches nationwide, ImageFIRST, the foremost medical scrub provider in Houston, TX, is privileged to work with diverse communities of healthcare providers and patients. 50 years of service in the medical linen and laundry business have taught us so many inspiring lessons, and one of them is the value of community engagement. The patient experience doesn’t stop once a patient walks out the door—it’s a lifelong experience, since virtually every community member will become a patient at one point and as the continuum of care expands into new areas.

For that reason, we strive to better not just patient experiences, but human experiences, in and out of healthcare facilities. Through quarterly community giving events, ImageFIRST’s associates give back to where they live and work, making the world a little kinder and brighter—and giving our associates even more pride in the work that they do for patients everywhere.

This past spring, ImageFIRST Dallas associates were particularly busy with community giving. We are proud to highlight their efforts and the impact they’ve had on their city.

In April, ImageFIRST Dallas associates visited Hillwood Middle School, which was recently named a “Texas School to Watch.” And for good reason: it’s rare to see such a hard-working, accomplished and enthusiastic group of students who clearly have great pride in their school. Their excitement was infectious – the good kind! – especially when we donated 100 sheets for a school-wide painting project. Both students and faculty were incredibly grateful for the donation. We can’t wait to see what kind of colorful creations they come up with.

The following month, ImageFIRST Dallas didn’t slow down. This time, we focused on The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center, an organization that helps place homeless folks in housing. It’s often the case that once in their new residence, the tenants have very little to start running a comfortable household and create a home. To help them, we provided 5 starter baskets to each new resident, stocked with sheets, towels, dishes, detergent, cookware and other essentials that will help tenants settle in comfortably.

Lastly, ImageFIRST Dallas’ associates were at it again during the final weekend in June. One June 25th, we volunteered at the Back On My Feet 5K race. Back On My Feet is an ingenious non-profit that helps homeless people into stable housing through the power of regular running meet-ups. This life-changing charity got a little support from some of our associates, who enjoyed a hearty breakfast courtesy of ImageFIRST.
Our business is about so much more than medical scrubs and uniforms about Houston, TX—it’s about creating a better life for community members across the nation. Learn more at http://houston.imagefirst.com.
